Idiot, idiot

Tonight I made an ass of myself in front of a certain world-famous local writer who lives just a couple of miles away - and his brother (I think).
It had been a really hectic night at work and my brain was about a thousand miles away, so of course I wasn't really in a ha-ha joking mood. Unfortunately I must have looked like a complete dodo, but honestly, I was being my normal friendly self, just not in much of a responding mood. Whatever. I'm sure he is used to females doing everything except prostrating themselves at his feet, and I am not that sort of girl, thank you very much.
