I decided to make lemon meringues this morning for Bart and Skylar's teachers as an end-of-the-year gift. They're super-easy and really good. When I got my Bosch mixer from the shelf and took the cover off the bowl, I should have been surprised to find a pair of Lucy's dirty socks inside. I was dismayed, but not surprised. It could have been much worse.
