Last year as a family we raised over $200 for the March of Dimes WalkAmerica, now called March for Babies. George and I thought it was a great way to teach the kids about helping others, and have some family fun and exercise. The event was held on Roanoke Island, at Festival Park. It was absolutely wonderful walking weather. We walked about two miles, and found time to go visit Kitty Hawk and the Wright Brothers Memorial afterward. The kids were pooped, but we all felt really good about the whole experience. We couldn't have done it without the help of friends, neighbors, teachers, and of course family, who generously donated to the cause.
Again, in May, we are participating in the March for Babies and would love any support we can get. Also, anyone who might want to join us in the walk is more than welcome!
